La Alcazaba is an exclusive grouping of privately owned apartments. It comprises 185 individual properties ranging in size from one to five bedrooms. No two are the same; this is a very unusual feature in any quality apartment development anywhere. The owners of La Alcazaba have come from all over the world and encompass a great many nationalities. It is quite unusual for an apartment to be made over for sale but when it is, it is very sought after.
The
development is a "Landmark Building" which has and continues to influence
other luxury resort development and conception as far a field as Mexico,
Thailand and South America.The
architecture everywhere is superb, the actual architect the renowned Melvin
Villaroel and La Alcazaba arguably his "signature project".
The gardens have won
many awards, photographs having appeared all over the world in fact to say
gardens is a gross understatement with the central park of La Alcazaba extending
to 20.000mē and always guaranteed to bring pleasure; a green oasis! For
record the development has in excess of 350 palm trees and well over 80
varieties of shrubs and plants! It is a truly tropical paradise and considered
against anywhere in the world and whatever you are used to, the gardens
of La Alcazaba will take your breath away.
The development has at its entrance a 24hr. bilingual reception. Maid service if required can be arranged in house and is available to the apartments on a daily, twice weekly or as required type basis. There is a coffee shop serving snacks, drinks, lunch etc and an la carte restaurant a branch of the world - famous Trader Vics open in the evening. Both facilities overlook the tropical gardens and its huge outdoor swimming pool - the beauty of the landscaping only too apparent! Recently a health and leisure club has opened to include a heated indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room. Whilst this is a private entity, it is however available to non-owners on payment of a small daily, weekly or monthly sum.
People say about staying in La Alcazaba it is like staying in a 5* hotel I would agree with this but only add without some of the formality/stuffiness and also the restraint at the lack of size of accommodation so usually associated with hotel property. To finalise the prime location of La Alcazaba, no 5* hotel property in the area is anything like as conveniently positioned for the major attractions, after all this is one of the few places you could stay in the Marbella / Puerto Banus area where a car is not essential.
